I think AdwCleaner picked up Trovi, but I'm not sure where the log for that is.

Full scan w/ Microsoft Security Essentials So far, here's what I have done in the past 24 hrs:ฤก. That's the error message that really made me think I might have a serious problem. The thing that really sketched me out though is that just today, I started my computer up, and got a similar type of error message regarding Java. I have a lot of games though, and haven't tried many others yet. So far, Battlefield and Far Cry are the only two that have this issue out of about three or four other games I've tried. Now, be aware that I don't get this error message with every game. After searching around a little bit, I gathered that this might be a DirectX issue, so I delete the files, run the enduser runtime, reinstall directx, etc., to no avail.

Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support." I tried to play Battlefield 3 and get a similar variation on the same message. I click play, and get this message: "C:\Windows\system32\D3DCOMPILER_43.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Yesterday, I decide I want to play Far Cry 3. Thankfully, it started up like normal, but I thought this was pretty weird. When I booted up the next morning, my computer was doing some kind of scan on my disk drives that made me very nervous. I went about my computer business, shut it down for the night as usual, and went to sleep. This was 2-3 days ago? I restarted the computer in safe mode, no problem, then normally, no problem. Now, unfortunately, I don't remember exactly what the error message was, and I know that's not very helpful, but I think it may have mentioned something about the disk drives. I right click, click "save as," when suddenly, my computer crashes to a blue screen. There I am, browsing imgur, and I see an image I want to save as a possible wallpaper. Some days passed without incident, BUT THEN! I ran MSE the next day, and then adwCleaner.
My friend explained that there were steps to follow to get rid of it, but it would take a long time to do, and I wasn't really in a situation to take care of it then and there, so I put it off to take care of later.
Some other adware got tacked onto my computer as well, which I quickly deleted and uninstalled.
It was called Trovi, and it hijacked my browser to set itself as my homepage and use bing as the search engine instead of google in chrome. So, about two weeks ago, I downloaded DaemonTools without paying much attention to the site I was downloading it from, and bam, I got some adware. Let me give you a semi-brief rundown of what's going on in my computer.
